The Bid Held. Inflation Gets the Next Vote. | Week Ending September 6, 2026
1. The Bid Held. Inflation Gets the Next Vote.
Posture: Respect the recovery. Buy a confirmed response, not a model target.
Next catalyst: Thursday’s PPI and Friday’s CPI, both at 19:30 WIB.
What changes our view: Buyers defending the new support base strengthens the case. A break through structural support weakens it, regardless of what the forecast says.
Bitcoin closed Sunday at $80,329, up 3.44% week on week. Ethereum closed at $2,514, up 4.05%. The bid survived another week. US spot Bitcoin ETFs added $986.7 million across the five completed sessions; Ethereum products added $215.3 million. But about 74% of Bitcoin’s net weekly inflow arrived on Thursday. That is buying we can measure, not a promise that buyers will return on every dip.
Monday’s refresh showed a $2.702 trillion crypto market, BTC dominance of 59.24%, and Fear & Greed at 71, down from Sunday’s 73. Prices were already below the weekly closes. This is no longer a market where fear alone supplies the bullish argument. Inflation now gets to test how much disappointment the recovery can absorb.
Key themes this week
-
ETF demand supports the recovery, but its concentration matters.
-
AAVE and HYPE outperformed BTC over the fixed week. Neither earns a buy at any price.
-
Fresh inference is not fresh training. Entry conditions still have to survive the live market.
-
One primary long and one alternative are enough. Different tickers do not make the same macro exposure independent.
2. Strengths: Where Demand Still Has Evidence
-
The weekly recovery survived its early setback. BTC traded as low as $76,298 before recovering to a close above $80,000. The caveat: a strong ending does not rescue a trade stopped earlier in the week. Sequence matters.
-
Fund demand stayed net positive. Both BTC and ETH funds brought in capital over the completed US week. The caveat: ETF subscriptions do not identify the exact level at which tomorrow’s buyer will defend spot price.
-
Several assets delivered more than a BTC-sized rebound. AAVE gained 11.79% and HYPE 9.88% between the same Sunday closing snapshots. The caveat: leadership helps select what to examine, not what to chase. Both remain exposed to a broad crypto reversal.
3. Weaknesses: What the Headline Misses
-
The flow total hides uneven demand. Thursday supplied $730.8 million of BTC’s $986.7 million net weekly inflow. Repeating that session in a forecast is easy; finding another buyer that large is not. Follow-through matters more than extrapolation.
-
The Monday pullback is testing the forecast immediately. AAVE’s inference reference was $136.84. The publication reference is $133.14. A bullish output produced earlier in the morning does not cancel the selling that followed it.
-
Confidence is not a verified trade probability. The daily run supplies new forecasts, not proof that the model has been retrained for the recent rally. We use directional agreement to form a shortlist, then check price structure and execution. We do not use price-closeness accuracy as directional evidence.
-
Inflation can move the whole book at once. BTC, AAVE, ETH and HYPE are not four independent inflation trades. Stacking longs would increase exposure to one outcome. Our two conditional plans compete for one allocation, with an expiry before the releases.
4. Market Recap: Weekly Performance
5. Predictive Analytics & Trade Confluence
BTC-USD (Bitcoin)
Reference Price: $79,817.79
Verdict: Primary conditional long. First require the four-hour response described above at $79,400-$79,800.
Market Confluence Analysis: The model’s bullish three- and seven-day directions fit a visible recovery: BTC closed higher for the week and remained above its 20- and 50-day averages. Positive ETF flows provide an external source of demand consistent with that strength. These are our observations about the market, not a claim to know the model’s hidden feature weights.
The important change is the base. After the early-week selloff, BTC recovered on Thursday and held around $79,400 over the weekend. That gives us a new structure to test. It is not permission to recycle last week’s $78,000 entry. The Monday reference is below the inference snapshot, and the recent low of $78,706 sits beneath the weekend base. We want buyers to confirm the upper support area while placing invalidation below the deeper low.
Trade Action:
-
Action: Conditional Long; not an assumed open position.
-
Entry Zone: $79,400-$79,800, only after the completed four-hour response and subsequent limit-entry sequence.
-
Take Profit: TP1 $81,800; TP2 $84,100. TP1 sits below the observed weekly high of $82,108. TP2 is model-informed, not an observed resistance level.
-
Stop Loss: $78,500 hard stop, below the September 4 low.
-
R:R: At a $79,800 fill, 1.54:1 to TP1 and 3.31:1 to TP2. At $79,400, 2.67:1 and 5.22:1. Recalculate from the actual fill.
-
Rationale: Test whether the higher base attracts repeat demand instead of paying for an unconfirmed bounce.
-
Invalidation: A stop breach cancels the thesis. A target reached before entry cancels that order. Untriggered plans expire at the shared review time; no automatic re-entry after a stop.
Analyst Note: This is the cleaner conditional plan because the observed base and nearby resistance define the trade without relying entirely on a model destination. It is still a trade that must earn its entry. If confirmation happens without an affordable retest, let it go.
AAVE-USD (Aave)
Reference Price: $133.14
Verdict: Alternative conditional long, not an additional position beside BTC. Require the four-hour response at $132-$133.
Market Confluence Analysis: AAVE’s bullish forecast is consistent with its 11.79% weekly advance and price above the 20- and 50-day averages. Momentum is a plausible explanation for the output. It is not proof of a new protocol catalyst or durable incremental token demand, and we have not supplied an unverified event to make the call sound stronger.
The retreat from the model reference is the counterargument. AAVE can be in an upward trend and still offer an uncomfortable entry while sellers test the recent base. The $128.88 low gives us structural invalidation; the $139.93 weekly high gives us a nearer test than the model’s distant target. Our job is to make the first target worth considering without pretending the second is assured.
Trade Action:
-
Action: Alternative Conditional Long; BTC allocation must remain unused and its support structure intact.
-
Entry Zone: $132-$133 after confirmation, followed by a limit fill during the next four-hour candle.
-
Take Profit: TP1 $139.50; TP2 $153.20. The second target comes from the forecast, not previously demonstrated resistance.
-
Stop Loss: $128.50 hard stop, below the September 5 low.
-
R:R: At $133, 1.44:1 to TP1 and 4.49:1 to TP2. At $132, 2.14:1 and 6.06:1. The actual fill decides which applies.
-
Rationale: Buy evidence of a defended pullback, not the expectation that a strong week must continue.
-
Invalidation: A stop breach, failure of BTC support, TP1 reached before entry, or the shared expiry cancels an untriggered plan. No automatic substitution after a BTC loss.
Analyst Note: The large TP2 reward makes this look better at a glance than it does at the first objective. At the top of the entry zone, TP1 offers only 1.44R before costs. That is why AAVE stays on reserve. The forecast supports investigating the setup; it does not make it superior to BTC.
ETH-USD (Ethereum)
Reference Price: $2,500.01
Verdict: Watch, not an issued trade. Review a break and successful retest of the $2,544 weekly high, or a fresh response around $2,473 support.
Market Confluence Analysis: ETH gained 4.05% over the fixed week while its ETFs absorbed net inflows. That combination supports the recovery, but it does not tell us that buying below resistance offers a better opportunity than the BTC plan. ETH is an analyst comparison here, not one of the model-screen survivors promoted to a contract.
The next useful evidence is what happens at the edge of the range. A sustained break above the weekly high would change the chart. A rejection followed by loss of support would weaken it. Either outcome deserves a fresh review; neither is an instruction to place an order now.
Trade Action:
-
Action: Watch / No New Trade.
-
Entry, Take Profit, Stop Loss and R:R: Not applicable; no execution contract issued.
-
Review: Reassess after a confirmed range change or the inflation releases. A watch level is not an automatic entry.
Analyst Note: Positive flows are evidence for the asset, not a substitute for a trade. Keep ETH in the comparison without adding another version of the same long.
HYPE-USD (Hyperliquid)
Reference Price: $86.71
Verdict: Watch, not an issued trade. Monitor the $84-$85 prior base and the $89.60 weekly high.
Market Confluence Analysis: HYPE’s 9.88% weekly advance shows relative strength. It also leaves price close enough to the recent high that a market buy would pay for much of the move already delivered. HYPE is absent from the current raw inference, so this is a chart-led analyst comparison, not a fabricated forecast.
The question is whether a pullback produces another defended base or a breakout establishes new support. Until one does, there is no reason to invent a stop and target simply to make the card look complete. Its different business does not make its price immune to a macro-driven crypto selloff.
Trade Action:
-
Action: Watch / No New Trade.
-
Entry, Take Profit, Stop Loss and R:R: Not applicable; no execution contract issued.
-
Review: A base response or confirmed breakout prompts new analysis and risk levels, not automatic activation.
Analyst Note: Keep the leader on screen. Do not turn last week’s strength into this week’s retrospective entry.
6. Token Launch & Ecosystem Radar
Avant ($AVANT) – upcoming launch watch; allocation preview before a confirmed claim window.
-
Why watch it: Official documentation says Season 1 points have been converted proportionally into estimated token allocations. Eligible users have something concrete to check, but a preview is not a liquid balance.
-
Current Status: Pre-TGE according to the checked documentation. September remains tentative, with no confirmed day. Claims are not live; final eligibility, mechanics and transferability still need an official notice.
-
Monitoring Rationale: Check the eventual claim terms and official link before acting. Adding deposits now should not be confused with earning an already completed season’s allocation. Monitor the terms, not an unpriced launch narrative.
Stellar ($XLM) – ecosystem catalyst; stablecoin access and an upcoming protocol vote.
-
Why watch it: USDT0 is live on Stellar, according to the Foundation. That expands access to a widely used settlement asset. The next test is whether the integration produces sustained use rather than announcement-day attention.
-
Current Status: Established network, not a launch candidate. The Protocol 28 mainnet vote is scheduled for September 16 at 17:00 UTC, or September 17 at 00:00 WIB, outside this forward week. A scheduled vote is not a completed upgrade.
-
Monitoring Rationale: Follow the vote outcome, integration readiness and stablecoin activity. Better infrastructure does not automatically create proportional demand for XLM. Keep the network thesis separate from the token-price thesis.
Ethos Network ($WHUF) – follow-up from #42; distribution is not liquidity.
-
Why watch it: The scheduled auction window has ended. The issuer’s filing schedules distribution for September 8 and transferability for October 8. We are not quoting unverified auction proceeds or a clearing price.
-
Current Status: Scheduled distribution, not confirmation of a freely tradable market. Correction to #42: the issuer states that token holders have no governance rights.
-
Monitoring Rationale: Verify delivery and lock terms. Advertised price protection is conditional and depends on issuer performance; it is not a guaranteed market floor. The transition from an allocation to actual liquidity is the event to watch.
7. Strategic Recap & Forward Outlook
ETF inflows helped the recovery hold. This week’s inflation data will test whether that demand can absorb a setback. We favor BTC if buyers defend support; AAVE remains an alternative, not an additional position carrying the same market risk. Neither earns an entry simply because the model points higher. If support fails, the bullish case weakens. If prices run without offering a valid entry, we let them go.
Forward Outlook – Week of September 7-13, 2026
-
Macro Watch: Monday is US Labor Day. PPI arrives Thursday, September 10, at 19:30 WIB; CPI follows Friday, September 11, at 19:30 WIB. A softer print supports the bullish interpretation only if price holds the response. A hotter print that breaks support weakens it. Do not keep trading the first headline after the move reverses.
-
BTC Key Levels: $79,400-$79,800 is the proposed response zone, not a guaranteed floor. $78,500 is the hard invalidation for the new plan. The observed weekly high is $82,108; the higher $84,100 objective is model-informed. Those are different kinds of evidence.
-
Altcoin Outlook: Watch whether leaders defend their bases without needing BTC to make a new high first. Do not treat laggards as cheap solely because they missed the rally. More tickers are not a substitute for stronger evidence.
-
Model Portfolio Summary: BTC primary conditional long; AAVE alternative conditional long; ETH and HYPE watch. One correlated long maximum. Cancel untriggered plans and review open exposure on Wednesday, September 9, at 19:30 WIB. No unchanged entry orders through the inflation releases.
